Privacy policy
This policy explains how LoreJam handles information when you browse, create an account, share content or contact us. LoreJam serves a global community.

Information we handle
We handle account information such as your email address and sign-in identifiers; the profile details you choose to provide; Posts, media, Comments and messages; and your follows, blocks, reactions and notification choices. We also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as session identifiers, IP addresses, browser information and security records. If you contact support, we receive the information you include.
Why we use information
We use information to provide accounts and community features, deliver content and messages, maintain security, investigate abuse, respond to requests and improve LoreJam. Where applicable, processing relies on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, legal obligations, or your consent for optional activities. You may contact us about the basis for a particular use.
Passwords and security
Passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes rather than plaintext. Access controls and other safeguards protect account and service data. Hashing passwords does not make your other account information anonymous. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or access tokens to support.
Public content and private features
Public Posts and profile information may be viewed and shared by others. Audience controls restrict access within LoreJam, but cannot prevent recipients from copying information. Direct messages are processed and stored to provide messaging; do not assume they are end-to-end encrypted. Authorized operational access may be necessary to maintain the service, address abuse or meet legal obligations.
Cookies and usage analysis
Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security and your interface choices. First-party usage analysis can measure visits, entry sources and interactions when collection is enabled. Browser collection respects Do Not Track. Browser identifiers describe browsers, not verified individual people. The current system does not send these analytics events to Google Analytics.
Advertising statistics
We may use usage information to understand and measure promotions. Information provided to advertising or marketing partners for their own use is limited to aggregated statistics that cannot identify individuals. We do not provide those partners with email lists, account identifiers, private messages or individual browsing and interaction histories for their own advertising use. Removing names from individual records alone does not make them anonymous.
Optional marketing email
Marketing email is a separate, optional choice and is off unless you subscribe. Your choice covers LoreJam news, community updates and promotional offers. You can withdraw it in Email preferences or contact us to request withdrawal. This does not turn off essential account or security communications. Saving a preference does not itself send an email.
Service providers and other disclosures
Infrastructure and storage providers may process information on our behalf to operate LoreJam. If email delivery providers are used, they need recipient information to deliver our messages; this is different from giving an advertising partner data for its own use. Third-party sign-in providers process authentication under their own policies. We may also disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable law or protect rights and safety. External sites opened from LoreJam have their own policies.
Retention and account deletion
Retention depends on the purpose and type of record; we do not promise permanent retention of all information. Analytics facts currently have a configurable retention period of 30 to 365 days, with a default of 90 days. Other operational and security records follow their applicable retention rules. Account deletion revokes sessions, removes the password credential and clears personal profile fields; Posts and the public profile become unavailable. Some Comments, conversation history and interaction references remain under a deleted-account identity. Security, audit and sign-in identity records may remain where needed to prevent abuse or preserve record integrity. Deletion is not a promise that every historical record or backup disappears immediately.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile, use audience and blocking controls, change notification and email preferences, and delete an eligible ordinary account through Security settings. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a supervisory authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. Anonymous statistics that no longer identify you cannot be retrieved as your personal record.
International use and updates
LoreJam is available to users around the world. Data may be processed where our service providers operate; protections and rights vary by jurisdiction. Contact us for information about processing locations and applicable safeguards. We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice or request consent when required.
